The story starts from where the virus called Cordyceps infects humans and turns into zombies. Following these survivors, they choose a region to live in and protect against the virus and zombies. The main characters of the game, also known as Joel and Ellie, live in this area. Joel takes care of Eli as a paddler, and the relationship between them goes so far as to depend on one another as a real family. The main course of the story begins from where the two flee from the protected area for some reason. This would lead to the pursuit of these two by the troops of the Protective Area. On the other hand, zombies and offenders outside the region are also considered a serious threat to them, but now they have to make every effort to survive.
